Psalm 039 (Vulg., 038).
David: communicating with God -- David, crowned, pointing to his face or right eye with his right hand, and resting his left hand on left knee, kneels on right knee, looking toward head of Christ-Logos, cross-nimbed, beardless, emerging from cloud-edged arc of Heaven. Scene with two trees, is against background of burnished gold.
To right, initial I contains fantastic animal, possibly with bird in mouth. In center margin is animal head or mask with disk in mouth, and fantastic bird biting bottom left corner of miniature.
