Miniature, vignette, left margin: Christ: Miracle of healing Deaf and Dumb -- Christ, cross-nimbed, with left hand holding book, and with right hand to right ear of deaf and dumb man, kneeling on ground, with both hands extended. Scene in hilly landscape with trees and with buildings in background. Miniature for text read after Twelfth Lesson on Twelfth Sunday after Feast of Trinity (from Mark 07:31). Initial I enclosing winged Evangelist Symbol of Luke (ox), with front hooves holding blank scroll, against gold background at beginning of Ninth Lesson of Luke on Thirteenth Sunday after Feast of Trinity. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration inhabited by half figures of possibly three helmeted soldiers, emerging from foliate buds (left); and busts of two men, wearing hat, amid foliage (lower).
