Miniature, vignette, left margin: Christ: Miracle of healing Paralytic -- Christ, cross-nimbed, with right hand raised in blessing over Paralytic, wearing cap, laying on mattress, with head on pillow. Behind them, among three men, one wearing hood, crossing arms on breast. Scene in landscape with trees and city buildings in distance. Initial I enclosing Evangelist Symbol of Matthew (angel), with both hands holding blank scroll; against gold background, at beginning of Ninth Lesson on the Twentieth Sunday after Feast of Trinity. Initial D enclosing head of man, wearing hat, at beginning of Collect "Dirigat corda nostra Domine quaesumus tuae miserationis operatio ..." Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by half figures of two angels, one with joined hands raised the other with arms crossed, emerging from clouds (left).
