Zone 1:
1) Gideon: Destruction of Baal -- Gideon and two attendants, all with clubs, break two idols on altar of Baal. Illustration of Judges 6:27.
2) Gideon: Fleece -- Gideon, in mail, holds dripping fleece in right hand and bowl in left hand, and looks up at nimbed angel emerging from cloud. Illustration of Judges 6:36-38.
Gideon: sending out Messengers -- To right, Gideon, in mail, with spear leaning on right shoulder, blows trumpet before four messengers, wearing caps, two holding spears, and one holding pitchfork. Illustration of Judges 6:34-35.
Zone 2:
Gideon: Flight of Midianites -- Gideon and three soldiers, in mail, mounted on horses, one caparisoned, hold lamps and blow trumpets. They pursue Midianite soldiers, in mail, armed with lances, axe, sword, and shield decorated with heraldry (or, an orle and eagle displayed sable), mounted on horses. Three soldiers and horse fall. Illustration of Judges 7:15-23.
