Scene, Sports and Games: Chess -- Within gold frame, chessboard with twelve red and gold pieces on squares lettered A and B for eleven moves; diagram numbered 248. To left of board, initial C decorated with scrolling foliate infilling terminating in animal head and with foliate ascender. Left and lower margins decorated with foliate extensions, upper part terminating in dragon-like hybrid animal biting part of the initial, and lowert part on which is long eared, dragon-like hybrid animal, baring teeth.
