Pentecost -- Below opening in ceiling of room from which dove of Holy Ghost descends amid rays of light, Virgin Mary, veiled, sits on throne, with hands joined and open, book on her lap, flanked by eleven apostles kneeling with joined hands raised, some looking up toward the dove. Figures, possibly representing nations of the world, appear behind arcaded walls of the room.
Frame:
Miniature within elaborate architectural frame inhabited by putti, one holding ornamental object. Two putti hold scroll inscribed with incipit of Matins of Short Hours of the Holy Spirit.
