Miniature, column, left: Apostle Peter, nimbed, wearing triple-crowned, cross-surmounted papal tiara, seated on throne, with right hand holds key and with left hand resting on book on lap, flanked by two groups of men, some tonsured or wearing hats, the foremost two with ermine-lined collars; all in room with tiled floor and filigree background. Miniature at beginning of First Chapter for Feast of Apostle Peter, Chair at Antioch (02.22). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by lion as bishop, wearing miter with infulae and collar, with tongue protruding (right).
