Miniature, vignette, left: Christ: Discourse to Apostles, True Vine -- Christ, cross-nimbed, with right hand raised and with left hand extended toward one of five apostles (some with only heads visible), the foremost also gesturing; all in hilly landscape with city buildings in background. Miniature for text read after Twelfth Lesson of Feast of Evangelist Mark (04.25) (from John 15:01). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry.
