Shepherds: Annunciation -- Nimbed angel, holding scroll, amid rays, flies above two standing shepherdesses, one wearing headdress, and three shepherds, two standing with peda, one with arms crossed, and the other, wearing broad hat, raising right hand, and the third, wearing broad hat, seated, holding bagpipe. Flock of sheep.
In background, river with boats and buildings appear in mountainous landscape.
Frame:
Miniature within elaborate architectural frame inhabited by putti, some holding swags of floral ornament. Two putti hold scroll inscribed with incipit of Terce of Hours of the Virgin.
