Miniature, column, left: Zacharias: Annunciation -- Accompanied by male attendant, wearing conical hat, Zacharias, wearing ermine-trimmed conical hat, with left hand placed on breast, is standing before angel, nimbed, with joined hands issuing scroll inscribed PRO EO QUOD NON CREDISTI UERBIS. Behind all, altar with retable, and rod wound with inscribed scroll flanked by two candles. Scene in apse of chapel with vaulted ceiling, five arched windows and tiled floor. Miniature at beginning of Chapter in Matins for Feast of Nativity of John Baptist (06.25). Initial P enclosing half figure of Christ, cross-nimbed, with right hand raised in blessing and with left hand holding cross-surmounted globe. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by half figures of two prophets, one wearing hat with left hand raised, emerging from clouds, holding scrolls inscribed P(RE)CEDET AN(TE) and AD OM(N)IA (right).
