John Baptist: Birth -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, seated in carved chair, holds in both arms nude infant John Baptist, nimbed. Woman, veiled, stands beside them, touching hand and foot of John. Behind them, in canopied bed, lies Elizabeth, wearing kerchief, beneath covers. To right, on bench before fireplace, sits Zacharias, wearing hat, with pen held in right hand writing on tablet inscribed S[AINT] JOHAN.
