Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, with crossed rays as nimbus, wearing crown of thorns and short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds, is affixed with three nails to cross with titulus inscribed INRI. Flanking the cross are Evangelist John, with his hands on shoulders of Virgin Mary, veiled, with joined hands raised, both with rays as nimbi; and by Mary Magdalen, with rays as nimbus, wearing ornate headdress, kneeling and holding ointment jar in both hands. In background is city of Jerusalem.
Margins with scattered flowers, including iris and viola.
