Adoration of Magi -- Among three Magi, the youngest as black, holding vessel, and the middle-aged, holding gift, stand behind the eldest kneeling, extending box filled with coins toward Christ Child, crossed nimbus of rays, nude, seated on lap of seated Virgin Mary, rays as nimbus, inside porch, where Joseph the Carpenter appears in background. Above archway, star of Bethlehem emits rays of light.
Scene within architectural setting inhabited by putti.
Frame:
Miniature within elaborate architectural frame inhabited by putti. Two putti hold scroll inscribed with incipit of Sext of Hours of the Virgin. Below, two putti hold wreath enclosing coat of arms.
