David: in Prayer -- David, nimbed and crowned, with joined hands raised, kneeling, looking up toward rays descending from above. Figure in landscape, enclosed in initial D decorated with foliate ornament.
In left margin, medallion enclosing bust possibly of prophet holding scroll inscribed NALV; owl perching atop cornucopia; woodpecker perching on flower; bust of king enclosed in foliage; bust of man looking upward, in medallion. All amid foliate decoration and gold balls; vase.
Pen-flourished initial.
