Christ: appearing to Virgin Mary -- Christ, nimbed, wearing mantle and short loin cloth, wounds in raised right hand and feet visible, holding bannered cross-staff, appears within mandorla beside Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, kneeling at draped prie-dieu with open book, hands raised.
Figures within bedroom furnished with canopied bed and panel with image of man carrying child, possibly Christopher of Lycia carrying Christ Child, on sideboard.
Miniature and text framed by architectural border.
Initial D decorated with foliate ornament begins prayer for indulgence.
