Jerome: Scene, removing Thorn from Lion's Paw -- Jerome, nimbed, wearing cardinal's vestments and hat, seated on canopied chair, with knife removes thorn from right forepaw of lion, standing on its hind legs with its forepaws in Jerome's lap. Beside Jerome is writing desk with scroll with pseudo-inscription, book with two clasps, and stylus case. Diaper background. Quatrefoils at corners of miniature.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux and foliate ornament.
