Scene, Sports and Games: Chess -- Within gold frame, chessboard with six red and gold pieces on squares lettered A-C for fourteen moves; diagram numbered 260. To left of board, initial C decorated with scrolling foliate infilling and with foliate ascender. Left and lower margins decorated with foliate extensions, upper part terminating in dragon-like hybrid animal biting frame of board, and lower part on which is perched bird, hybrid animal and hybrid man, bald, both with bodies of two-legged beasts.
