Claude Molé kneels with joined hands raised, before Claudius of Besançon, nimbed, wearing miter and vestments with cross-inscribed pallium, extending right hand to his shoulder and holding archbishop’s cross-staff in his gloved left hand. Scene in room with paneled walls and floreate topped pilasters with tiled ceiling and floor. Miniature within gold frame with motto inscription at bottom. Double page miniatures follow prayers to the Virgin (fols. 56v-58r) and precede prayer to Claudius of Besançon, O DESOLATORUM CONSOLATOR CAPTIUORUM LIBERATOR ... (fol. 59v).
