1) Christ: Crucifixion, nailed to Cross -- Christ, crossed nimbus, in loin cloth, is nailed to cross by three men; one drives nail through right wrist, one ties left wrist to arm of cross, one nails feet.
Scene against blue background decorated with gold attached to foliate initial I for sext of the Short Hours of the Cross.
2) Christ: Crucifixion -- Christ, crossed nimbus, long loin cloth, eyes closed, wearing crown of thorns, bleeding from hands, feet, and side, is affixed to cross with three nails. Virgin Mary, decorated nimbus, veiled, raising both hands, and Evangelist John, nimbed, holding book in left hand, flank the cross. Sun and moon in sky.
Scene against gold background attached to foliate initial I for none of the Short Hours of the Cross.
