Initial Q enclosing head of man, wearing hat, at beginning of Ninth Lesson for Feast of Archangel Michael (09.29). Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by man, wearing hat over hood, with left hand holding spiked implement, and with right hand holding unidentified escutcheon decorated with head of hybrid figure (left).
