Roman de la Rose: Scene, Jealousy commanding Construction of Tower to imprison Welcome -- Crenellated tower with windows is surmounted by woman, wearing headdress, playing horn (partly visible), surrounded by four crossbows mounted to crenellations. Below, in center of tower, arched window with grate in which is half-figure of man, representing Personification of Welcome, accompanied by veiled female figure (only head visible).
To right of the window, among two workmen, one operates pulley and one raises pickaxe behind crenellated wall.Scene in hilly landscape with tree.
