Miniature, column, right: Beneath arch, Apostle Paul, with right hand holding hilt of down-turned sword in scabbard and with draped left hand holding book, flanked by Apostle Peter, tonsured, with right hand holding key, and Apostle Mathias, with left hand holding halberd, all accompanied by heads of apostles, all nimbed. Scene in room with three round windows and tiled floor. Miniature at beginning of Chapter for Feast of the Common of Saints, beginning the Commune Sanctorum. Initial S enclosing half figure of David, nimbed, wearing ermine-trimmed hat, seated on throne, with right hand on book on lap. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, including strawberry, inhabited by two prophets, wearing hats, emerging from clouds, holding scrolls inscribed CIUES APOSTOLORUM and IN O(MN)EM T(ERRAM) (left).
