Miniature, column, left: Monk, nimbed, tonsured, wearing monk’s habit, with right hand holding crozier and with draped left hand holding two books; against patterned background. Miniature at beginning of Chapter for Feast of a Confessor not Bishop. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration, inhabited by two prophets, wearing hats, emerging from clouds, holding scrolls inscribed AMAUIT EI(US) and IUSTUS UT PAL(MA) (left).
