Virgin Mary: Coronation, Virgin kneeling -- Virgin Mary, crowned, kneels with joined hands raised before God, wearing triple-crowned papal tiara, raising right hand in blessing, holding cross surmounted tripartite globe in left hand, seated on throne. Dove of Holy Ghost hovers above her. Behind her, Christ, wearing crown of thorns, his bleeding body partially draped, holding processional cross with bleeding left hand, stands behind Mary, His right hand on her back. Angel stands behind Him. In background are three tiers of six-winged seraphim, some wearing fillet surmounted by cross.
