Virgin Mary: Death -- Virgin Mary, veiled, head on pillow, eyes closed, reclines on draped bed. Christ, nimbed, raising right in blessing, holding dove with left hand, next to the bed, looks down toward her. In lower margin, left, terminating pen flourish, head of king, tendrils emerging from open mouth. Pen-flourished initials. Text is responsory in first nocturn for Matins, 8.15, feast of the Assumption of Virgin Mary.
