Job: seated among Ashes -- Of a group of five men wearing hats, some only partially visible, the foremost leans with arms extended toward Job, arms crossed on breast, wearing short trousers or loincloth, seated on dung heap.
Scene in landscape with ruined castle in background, and hills in distance. Miniature enclosed by frame decorated with architectural ornament including two putti surmounting columns, holding spears and shields, and animal mask sprouting vine scroll.
