Pentecost -- Dove of Holy Ghost, emitting rays, descending toward Virgin Mary, nimbus as rays, veiled with wimple, kneeling at prie-dieu, with joined hands raised, surrounded by eleven apostles, nimbed, most kneeling with joined hands raised or gesturing (some only partly visible).
Scene before drapery hanging from ceiling in room with tiled floor, columns supporting vaults and arches showing landscape in far distance.
Miniature at beginning of Short Hours of the Holy Spirit.
Margins inhabited by moth and peacock and scattered with naturalistic flowers including speedwell, viola, rose, forget-me-not, daisy, dianthus, and strawberry; against gold background.
