Christopher of Lycia: carrying Christ Child, and Julian Hospitaler: Scene, as Ferryman -- Christopher of Lycia, nimbed, holding staff in both hands, stands in stream and carries on his shoulders Christ Child, with crossed nimbus, with right hand raised in blessing and with left hand on head of Christopher.
Below, Christ, with crossed nimbus, with right hand raised and holding object in left hand, sits in boat between Julian Hospitaler, with scalloped nimbus, steering boat with rudder, and Julian's wife, with scalloped nimbus, veiled, holding lantern in both hands. Ornamented medallions with diaper pattern at corners of miniature.
Margins with ivy-rinceaux foliate ornament.
