Psalm 042 (Vulg., 041) -- Initial Q of Quemadmodum enclosing collared dog, with head raised, against gold background; the initial’s ascender extending across left, upper, and right margins partly formed by bust of man, wearing cap, with right hand holding staff, and teminating in bust of helmeted soldier, raising stick; the descender extending across left, lower, and right margins partly formed by dragon-like hybrid animal terminating in bust of angel, wearing snood, with right hand pulling thread from distaff held in right hand (spinning).
