Virgin Mary: Assumption -- Virgin Mary, nimbus as rays, with joined hands raised, feet on half moon, is borne to heaven by four putti, soaring upwards toward arc of heaven in which is Christ, rays as crossed-nimbus, partly draped with mantle, bleeding from wound in side, seated on throne beside God, wearing triple-crowned papal tiara, with right hand raised in blessing and with left hand holding globe, the arc surrounded by busts of putti.

Miniature framed by border inhabited by two hybrid angels amid foliate and zoomorphic ornament aginast red background of Compline in Hours of the Virgin.
