Magi: Adoration -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled, is seated, holding with both hands, nude Christ Child, rays as cross nimbus. Eldest Magus kneels before them, right hand resting on vessel full of coins, held in left hand. Hat is next to him. The other two Magi, wearing hats, stand in background, looking toward each other, each holding covered vessel.
Miniature enclosed by gold frame decorated with pearls and precious stones.
Initial D, enclosing head of dog, mouth open, tongue emerging.
Margins decorated with border of floreate ornament including bisecting branch entwined by scroll of floreate ornament, including cornflower, and inhabited by bird, lion and butterfly.
