Catherine of Alexandria: Scene, Torture -- Catherine, crowned, with joined hands raised, kneels at base of wheels enshrouded in dark clouds or smoke. Sharp points fly from the wheels toward bodies on ground and toward group of people in background.
Margins decorated with border of sculptural and foliate ornament including foliate garland in upper margin emerging from mouths of two lions heads, lions heads in one end of each garland, and two putti holding spears and shields, supporting columns resting on their heads. Lower margin inscribed S[ANCTA] RATERINA ORA PRO NOBIS.
