Christopher of Lycia: carrying Christ Child -- Christopher, nimbed, holding tree branch (?) in both hands, standing in river with fish, carries on his back nimbed Christ Child, with right hand raised in blessing and holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand. On right bank of river is hermit, wearing hood, holding staff in right hand and lantern in left hand, standing in doorway of cave or house. In background on left riverbank is distant city.
Amid foliate ornament in margins is man, wearing hat, standing with right foot on back of fantastic animal and transfixing the animal with spear held in both hands.
Miniature and ornament executed in grisaille and gold tones with color accents.
