Scene in room with tiled floor. Decorated initial of beginning of the Office of the Dead. Initials D and P enclosing heads of men, one wearing hat the other wearing cap. Margins decorated on three sides with scrolling floreate and foliate decoration inhabited by two half figures of angels, one gesturing and the other holding scroll with pseudo-inscriptions, both emerging from cloudy arcs of heaven, and man, wearing soft hat, reading from open book with pseudo-inscriptions (left); seated collared dog (upper left); lion (lower left); and bust of bearded man amid foliage (lower).
