Jerome as half-figure, nimbed, seated at desk within initial D, decorated with foliate ornament.
In upper margin, medallion enclosing deer amid gold balls and floreate ornament; in lower margin, medallion enclosing Jerome, nimbed, body partially draped, kneeling before cross, lion next to him (Jerome: Scene, in Penance). Medallion flanked by two cornucopia and surrounded by flowers and gold balls. Medallions linked by green band decorated with pieces of armor including shields, helmet and hauberk, and with drum.
Text is collect for first Vespers on 09.30, feast of Jerome.
