Zone 1:
David: offered Michal in Marriage -- Among group of men, one points to David, in long surcoat, holding gloves in right hand, and standing with left hand extended toward Saul, crowned, seated with legs crossed on throne with footstool. He holds fleur-de-lis scepter in left hand, and with right hand points to Michal, wearing fillet and holding dog in her arms. Six men surround Saul, and one places hand on Michal's shoulder. Zone 2:
David: slaying Philistines -- Mounted on caparisoned horse, David, in mail, wearing visor, armed with shield, cleaves with sword shoulder of mounted Philistine, in mail, with scabbard at waist. Mounted soldiers, including one black, in mail, wearing visors and helmets, one broad, engage in combat with swords and shields; some are fallen. Illustration of I Samuel 18:27.
