Beginning of Book of Numbers.
Moses: communicating with God -- Aaron, holding book in right hand, stands behind horned Moses, extending hands. Above at right, Christ-Logos, as half figure, wearing crossed nimbus, raising right hand in blessing and holding book in left hand, emerges from clouds. Below at right are group of Israelites, wearing pointed caps, the foremost of which is seated, with hands raised. Scene within decorated initial L.
In left margin is deer standing on its hind legs.
In lower margin is fantastic animal and bird.
