Christ: Presentation -- Simeon, nimbed and wearing papal tiara, extends hands across draped altar to right arm of nude Christ Child, no nimbus, held by Virgin Mary, nimbed. Behind her are two women, nimbed, and Joseph the Carpenter holding crutch with right hand and basket containing doves with left hand.
Scene in architectural setting.
Margins decorated with rectilinear frame around miniature and text, and with border of floreate and foliate ornament inhabited by birds. In lower margin, hanging from frame by cord, unidentified heraldic shield (azure a fess of three fusils or, on the central one an escutcheon, azure a serpent or).
