Legend, Argonauts: King Appollo in Temple of Mars -- King Appollo, kneeling on one knee beside crown on floor, raises joined hands to statue of Mars, wearing helmet and armor and holding bannered staff, on top of altar. Scene in stone-walled temple with tile (?) floor, depicted in perspective. Horse, wearing bridle and saddle, is tied outside the temple in landscape with trees and hills.
