Upper miniature:
Christ: appearing to Virgin Mary -- Virgin Mary, nimbed and veiled is seated with open book on her lap. She looks toward Christ, crossed nimbus, bleeding from wounds, body partially draped, raising right hand and holding cross-staff with cross inscribed banner. He is standing before her in room with decorated walls and tile floor.
Lower miniature:
Bust of Christ, rayed crossed nimbus, wearing crown of thorns, bleeding from wounds in head.
