Zone 1:
David: pacified by Abigail -- Five soldiers in mail, armed with sword, notched falchion, lances, and halberd, mounted, follow David, in mail, mounted on caparisoned horse. They approach Abigail, wearing berbette and vair-lined mantle, with purse suspended from belt at waist, raising her right hand toward them, and extending her left hand. She is attended by two women, two laden asses, and youth with scourge in right hand; tree in background. Illustration of I Samuel 25:20, 23-31.
Zone 2:
1) Nabal: Confession of Abigail -- Two women attend Abigail, wearing berbette and vair-lined mantle, standing with right hand raised toward Nabal, seated leaning with his elbow on back of chair with footstool. Illustration of I Samuel 25:37.
2) Nabal: Death -- Nabal lies beneath cover on draped bed beneath garment draped over rod and before Abigail, wearing berbette, with right hand lifting his cover and grasping his right hand. She is accompanied by two women mourning, one with hands raised, and the other, wearing snood, raisng right hand to cheek. Illustration of I Samuel 25:38.
