2) Erasmus of Gaeta: Scene, Martyrdom -- Erasmus of Gaeta, wearing miter and tunic, kneeling with joined hands raised, his arms bound behind him by one of two tormentors, both with swords tied to waists, the other, possibly Diocletian, wearing hat, with left hand holding scepter and with right hand raised. To right, garment on tiled floor and windlass. In background right, beneath canopy, nude idol mounted on column.
