Augustine of Hippo, nimbed, wearing bishop's miter and vestments, stands and holds heart in right hand and crozier in left hand. Figure in room with leaded-glass windows, cloth wall hanging, and tile floor.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament. In lelf margin is soldier, holding sword in right hand and in left hand shield (escutcheon) with arms of Sivry (barry of twelve argent and azure an estoile or).
