Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Joseph the Carpenter, holding draped crutch over right shoulder, holding reins of ass with left hand, walks at head of ass. He looks back over left shoulder toward swaddled Christ Child, crossed nimbus, suckling at right breast of Virgin Mary, nimbed, seated sideways on ass.
Scene in landscape with trees and rocky outcrops beneath blue sky.
Margins decorated with rectilinear floral frame around miniature and text, and with border of floreate and foliate ornament inhabited by bird.
