Marculfus of Bayeux, nimbed, tonsured, wearing monk's habit, holding crozier in right hand, stands with left hand on chin of crowned king, kneeling with joined hands raised.
Margins with foliate and vinescroll ornament. In lower margin is helmeted soldier, holding spear in right hand and on left arm tournament shield (escutcheon) with arms of Sivry (barry of twelve argent and azure an estoile or).
