Virgin Mary: Coronation -- Virgin Mary, nimbed, kneels with joined hands raised before God, nimbed, wearing cross-surmounted papal tiara and vestments, seated with right hand raised in blessing and holding cross-surmounted globe in left hand. Above Virgin Mary hovers angel, nimbed, holding crown in both hands. Scene beneath conical canopy and emanating rays, possibly in clouds of heaven.
Amid foliate ornament in margins are hybrid man, wearing hood, with bat wings; thrush, with wings extended, looking over shoulder; fantastic animal with pointy ears; and nude man, holding staff in right hand.
