Virgin Mary: Death, and Assumption -- Twelve apostles, all nimbed, including Peter, wearing vestments and swinging censer, and Evangelist John, holding candle, stand beside canopied bed in which Virgin Mary, nimbed, veiled, hands joined, reclines. At foot of bed are two unidentified male figures, one hooded and wearing cloak, the second holding book in both hands. Both are nimbed.
Above, Virgin Mary, hands joined, appears within rayed mandorla, surrounded by angels.
