Miniature:
Pietro de Crescenzi: Livre des Prouffis Champestres et Ruraux, Book VII -- Conversing with another man in front of building with sundial, Pietro de Crescenzi indicates, with both hands, laborers working in fields. Two laborers mow hay with scythes. Four laborers, including woman, gather hay into haystack, using pitchforks and rakes. Beyond, within forest, one laborer chops tree with axe. Second laborer gathers branches into pile. In treetops, pair of birds tend nest with two chicks.
Margins:
Decorative foliate border frames miniature and text. Lower border inhabited by cat licking itself.
