Christ: Entombment -- Christ, rays as nimbus, wearing short loin cloth, bleeding from wounds in head, hands, side and feet, is lowered into sarcophagus-like tomb, his head and feet held by cloth covered hands of Joseph of Arimathea and another man, both bearded, wearing peaked hats. Behind tomb Virgin Mary, veiled, orant, and Evangelist John, touching her left arm with his left hand are flanked by two Holy Women, one touching right arm of Virgin Mary with her right hand; all have rays as nimbus. In the background is tau cross with titulus INRI, and nail at end of each arm. Scene is in landscape with flowering plants, flanked by three trees beneath blue sky and clouds (?) with gold rays.
Margins decorated with border of foliate and floreate ornament.
