Christ: Flight into Egypt -- Joseph the Carpenter, holding bundle on staff over his right shoulder, with left hand holds reins of ass. Seated sideways on the ass is Virgin Mary, with scalloped nimbus, veiled, holding swaddled infant Christ Child, with crossed nimbus. Arc of heaven and emanating rays at top of arch of miniature. Scene in landscape with road, trees, distant city, and starry sky.
Margins with vinescroll, ivy-rinceaux, and floreate ornament.
